We try to create a range of different ways for members to get involved in the life of their local Labour Party.

Meetings and policy development

Labour policies can never stand still – we are always reviewing our policies to meet new social and economic circumstances. All Labour members have the chance to contribute to the development of policy at a local and regional level.

We aim to provide high quality debates and briefings on key policy issue.

Campaigning

Your local Labour party gets involved in community campaigns that represent our values and priorities. We campaign on:

• Southern Rail and the need for a publicly-owned and democratically- accountable railway service.
• Working with local food banks to tackle food poverty
• More social housing at rents that local people can afford, and an absolute minimum of 30% social housing on all new developments.
• Defending our NHS and campaigning for social care free at the point of need.
