General Election 2024
Rishi Sunak finally called a General Election for Thursday July 4th! Members like you in Lewes have a vital role in this General Election!
Your General Election checklist – what you can do right now:
1) Contact us to sign up to help out both in Lewes and in our new neighbouring target seat of West Worthing. Please note that this has been changed from Hastings & Rye and East Worthing & Shoreham.
2) Check your plans for Thursday July 4th – put a reminder to vote on your phone and in your calendar
3) Sign up to vote early – You can do that by applying for a postal vote here:
www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
N.B. You can always take it to the polling station on the day, but it means you’re covered should something come up
4) Check you have ID to vote, and if you need to apply for voter ID online. Accepted ID includes your driving licence, passport or a senior citizen bus pass. full details, and how to apply for free ID are here:

5) Check family members are able to vote – if they need ID or a postal vote, particularly students who might be back for the summer.
