Is there a vision of our national and global past, present and future that can frame a Labour politics of recovery from four consecutive General Election defeats?

How can such a vision contribute towards Labour shaping a progressive majority not simply to win but effect lasting social change?

To help answer these questions Lewes Constituency Labour Party has collected together some of the most brilliant thinkers available to bring their bright ideas to Lewes for a day of hard thinking with co-operative social networking, aided by the delicious food of the Keir Hardie Café and afters The Lewes Arms. We are pleased to welcome members, supporters and friends of the Labour Party from across Lewes ,Sussex, the South East and beyond, to join us and help answer What’s The Big Idea?

ASLEF and Unite South East We are hugely grateful to both ASLEF the trade union for train drivers and Unite the union’s South East region for their generous support which has helped enable and empower one small Constituency Labour Party with big ambitions to put on an event post pandemic, post Labour Party conference to lift Labour members, friends and supporters’ horizons, and, if required, spirits too, from right across the south east. Covid We will advise how this will affect the event’s organisation , likely to include proof of a negative lateral flow test taken not more than 24 hours before the event, and masks to be worn.
